Housing Alliance :: About the Housing Alliance
Purpose
The Housing Alliance is a consortium of public, private, and non-profit agencies and individuals committed to providing a broad spectrum of housing opportunities in Morris County. Our goal is to increase the supply of affordable housing in Morris County.
Mission Statement
- To create a well-informed public to the need and issues relating to housing.
- To create opportunities for public and private organizations to work together to address Morris county's housing challenge.
- To advocate for the adoption of public policy and legislation that fosters affordable housing opportunities.
Funding
Funding will come from three main sources: members, United Way of Morris County, and other organizations (i.e. banks, foundations, etc.), pursuant to a campaign defined by the Alliance membership.

2007 Political Candidate Questionnaire
The Housing Alliance, a community collaboration program of United Way of Morris County, distributed a questionnaire to this year’s political candidates that focused on the issue of Affordable Housing. The questionnaires were forwarded to the candidates in this year’s election for Morris County Freeholder, the NJ Senate and NJ Assembly. The candidates were asked to submit their responses to the Alliance no later than Monday, October 15. Approximately 50% of the candidates provided response to the questions posed. Their responses are as follows:
