Immigrant populations face unique challenges when joining a new community. Often they confront language barriers, cultural differences, and unfamiliar social systems without the support of family and friends. These factors hinder them from gaining access to basic needs:
- Cultural orientation to the US
- English language instruction
- Housing
- Job training and employment
- Child care
- Education (for themselves and their family)
- Health care

There are more than 92,000 immigrants living and working in Morris County, and this number is steadily increasing.
Morris County's top immigrant populations are*:
- 36% Asian
- 36% Central and South American
- 22% European
Most of these populations originate from*:
- China and India
- Colombia, Ecuador, and Honduras
- Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom
