Michelle Roers
Director of Community Impact

Michelle RoersMichelle Roers is Director of Community Impact at United Way of Morris County, leading the organization’s efforts in the areas of EDUCATION, INCOME, and HEALTH. As part of this role, she manages the work in the INCOME impact area. She also serves as co-chair of United Way’s Housing Alliance to advocate for affordable housing solutions throughout Morris County.  Prior to joining the United Way team, Michelle worked as a forensic social worker in Manhattan, and as case coordinator for the Morris County Multi-Disciplinary Teams and as prosecutor's agent at the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.  Additionally, she worked as coordinator of the Legal Advocacy program at Jersey Battered Women's Service and as a counselor for the Morris County Sexual Assault Center.  Michelle earned her bachelor's degree in social work from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minn., and a master's degree in social work from Fordham University's School of Social Services in New York.  She is a licensed social worker (LSW) in New Jersey.
