Housing Alliance

Summary of Our Work

Housing AllianceEstablished in 2004, the Housing Alliance of Morris County is a community collaboration program of United Way of Morris County. The Alliance is comprised of public, private, and non-profit agencies committed to advocating for affordable housing opportunities in Morris County.

As part of United Way of Morris County’s mission to advance the common good, the Housing Alliance strives to make affordable housing accessible for all families and individuals in Morris County. Its mission is to create a well-informed public to the need and issues related to housing; create opportunities for public and private organizations to work together to address Morris County’s housing challenges; and to advocate for the adoption of public policy and legislation that fosters affordable housing solutions.

Through one voice, Housing Alliance members are:

  • Spreading the word that Morris County needs housing for all.
  • Showcasing housing solutions that are both attractive and affordable.
  • Working to increase the supply of affordable housing in Morris County.
  • Increasing public knowledge about the affordable housing crisis in Morris County and beyond.
  • Influencing public policy, locally and statewide.
