Given the cost of living today, a family needs to earn at least 2.5 times the federal poverty level to be considered financially stable in most of our communities.  United Way will advocate for policies to enable lower-income families and individuals to increase income, build savings, and grow assets.

$500 purchases a new refrigerator for a local Habitat for Humanity home.

$1,000 supports a Housing Scholar at United Way – a college student dedicated to helping with affordable housing advocacy efforts.
