YC Holiday Party GirlLocal Teens Make Holidays a Happy One for Children in Need

December 20, 2006 – Morristown, NJ Eleven local high school students spread some holiday cheer last week, hosting a party for children in need at Interfaith Council for Homeless Families.  At the party, the teens handed out stockings full of presents, and ran several arts and crafts tables where children could create snowmen, stars, and snowflake ornaments for their families

Giving back to those in need is not just a passing fancy for this group of special teens, who are members of United Way of Morris County's Youth Leadership and Service Council.  Together, the teens plan and participate in community service projects throughout the year, from collecting diapers for child care centers to sprucing up local non-profit agencies.  In 2006 alone, the teens have served an estimated 200 Morris County residents through their service.
