Starbucks Santa ReadsStarbucks Spreads Holiday Cheer to Local Preschoolers

December 20, 2006 – Morristown, NJ Starbucks spread some holiday cheer for preschoolers from the Salvation Army in Morristown on Wednesday when they hosted a special party for 27 tots at their corporate office in Parsippany.  Starbucks employees volunteered their time at the celebration, serving lunch to the children (chicken fingers, french fries, hot cocoa, and lots of cookies!) and helping out with arts and crafts projects.

Santa made a special visit to the party for story time, along with a few of his elves.  Starbucks employees also gave a basket full of gifts to each preschooler in attendance.

Starbucks GroupThis holiday event is one that employees at Starbucks' corporate office look forward to every year.  Donna Pinho, an employee at Starbucks' corporate location on Campus Drive in Parsippany, said, "I love that Starbucks brings the kids here.  This is what Christmas is all about.  It's such a joy to participate."

The Salvation Army Day Care in Morristown, a United Way program partner, gratefully acknowledges Starbucks for their generosity to the children.  United Way applauds Starbucks for its commitment to community, and its active support of our neighbors and neighborhoods in Morris County!
