Women’s Health Mysteries Unraveled
Saint Barnabas and United Way Host Free, Health-Focused Seminar for Women

February 8, 2006 – Morristown, NJ – United Way of Morris County's Women's Leadership Council and Saint Barnabas Ambulatory Care Center, in Livingston, recently hosted "We've Come a Long Way:  Women's Health Insights," a free educational program focused on women's health issues.  The event featured two physicians from facility, Linda Sanders, MD, Medical Director of the Saint Barnabas Breast Center, and Bonnie Sidler, MD, FRCP(C), from the Saint Barnabas Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Disease Center.

Sanders, a radiologist, covered a variety of topics related to breast health, including the differences between diagnostic tools such as mammograms, ultrasounds, and breast MRIs.  Sidler, an endocrinologist, shared information about early detection of osteoporosis and its latest treatments.  The program gave women in attendance the unique opportunity to ask questions of the experts about these important women's health concerns.

United Way of Morris County's Women's Leadership Council hosts a variety of events throughout the year, and raises awareness and funds for some of the most pressing issues facing girls, women, and families today.  For more information on becoming involved in the Women's Leadership Council, please Amanda Boyadjis or phone 973.993.1160, x152.
