Commercial Real Estate Network Helps Playground Come to Life
United Way of Morris County's Commercial Real Estate Network provided a significant amount of the funding for this brand new, and very much needed, playground at Homeless Solutions. The playground will be used by children at Homeless Solutions' Family Shelter, and children who are a part of Head Start of Morris County.

December 1, 2006 – Morris Township, NJ – Thanks to a wonderful collaborative effort children at Homeless Solutions' Family Shelter and children who are a part of Head Start of Morris County have a new playground at Homeless Solutions' main building on West Hanover Avenue in Morris Township. In order to make this playground a reality United Way of Morris County and the Presbyterian Church of Morristown provided generous grants and over 50 volunteers came together on November 11 with support from:
- Homeless Solutions, Inc.
- Head Start of Morris County,
- West Morris Central High School,
- Morris Habitat for Humanity, and
- Shop Rite of Morris Plains.
"What child doesn't like to play? Our playground is used in the daytime by the Head Start children and by Homeless Solutions children in the afternoons and on weekends," says Homeless Solutions Executive Director Betsey Hall. "That's what I call a well-used, joy-filled piece of land! I can hear their laughter as I sit in my office, and life doesn't get any better than hearing the laughter of delighted children."
Homeless Solutions, Inc. is a private, nonprofit organization with over 20 years of experience in meeting the needs of Morris County's homeless and working poor. Their mission is to offer shelter, services, and supportive housing to homeless and low-income people.
