Youth Summit Day to Feature Twin Brother Surgeons
Dr. Vance and Dr. Vince Moss to recount unique tour of duty in Afghanistan to local middle school students

May 8, 2007 – Morristown, NJ – Almost one hundred middle school students from across Morris County will join together on Friday, May 11, 2007 at the Morris Museum for a unique leadership opportunity.  The students, who were selected by their schools, are joining together for the County's first Middle School Youth Summit Day, hosted by United Way of Morris County and sponsored by Reckitt Benckiser.

The daylong Summit will give middle school students the opportunity to participate in a variety of team-building and problem solving exercises that develop leadership skills. The keynote speakers for Youth Summit Day are Drs. Vance and Vince Moss, twin brother surgeons who traveled to Afghanistan for an extraordinary, high risk mission.  Dr. Vance Moss, a Major in the US Army Reserve 344th Combat Support Hospital, and his identical twin brother, Dr. Vince Moss, a Major in the same unit, were dubbed as "Dogonogay": Same Face Healers during their special mission to Afghanistan.  Working under flashlights and dodging sniper fire, the doctors performed much needed surgical procedures on hundreds of locals throughout the Afghan countryside.

Youth Summit Day will be facilitated by Patrick Fennell of Empowerment Solutions.  Fennell is a long-time United Way volunteer and professional youth facilitator.
