Michelle D. Roers DiNapoliNew Director of Community Impact on Board

United Way of Morris County is pleased to announce that Michelle D. Roers DiNapoli has joined United Way as Director of Community Impact.

Born and raised in Minnesota, Michelle obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN, and then a Master's Degree in Social Work at Fordham University's – School of Social Services in New York.  She holds a License in Social Work in New Jersey, and also maintains her licensure as a Masters in Social Work in New York.

Ms. Roers DiNapoli began her career as a Forensic Social Worker at The Legal Aid Society in Manhattan in the Juvenile Rights Division.  She later moved to Morris County, NJ and served as a victim advocate and the Case Coordinator of the Morris County Multi-Disciplinary Teams while at the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.  She then served as the Coordinator of the Legal Advocacy Program at Jersey Battered Women's Service, Inc.  A significant portion of Michelle's career has involved working with children, adults, and families who have experienced trauma such as child abuse, domestic violence and sexual abuse.  She highly values the power of collaboration and networking on behalf of clients, and views this as a critical means to more effectively and efficiently promote education and prevention efforts.

Most recently, Ms. Roers DiNapoli served as a Prosecutor's Agent at the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.  Relying on her Social Work background, she developed and coordinated various outreach and community education programs on behalf of the Prosecutor's Office.  She has been actively involved in promoting crime prevention efforts, particularly in the areas of interpersonal violence and substance abuse.

Michelle has also actively participated in various community committees & coalitions to enhance the delivery of services and to promote multi-disciplinary collaboration.  She has also provided valuable volunteer support to the Morris County Sexual Assault Center.  Furthermore, she has enjoyed promoting the development of young girls in the community through volunteer coaching of basketball and volleyballs teams via Roxbury's Department of Recreation.
