Denville Street Festival
June 6, 2004

United Way of Morris County announced the winner of the 2nd Annual Neighborhood Campaign Art Contest at the Denville Rotary Street Festival on June 6. The theme of the art contest, which was open to all school-age children in Denville, was 'Civic Engagement'. The winner was Becky Sagaas, age 11, of St. Mary's School. Becky was pleasantly surprised as she accepted the award in front of her family and friends. Becky's drawing will be used for the 2004 Neighborhood Campaign poster that will be displayed throughout Morris County spreading the importance and meaning of Civic Emgagement.

The 24th Annual Denville Rotary Street Festival provided a great opportunity for United Way of Morris County to continue their 2004 Neighborhood Campaign in Denville. Over 350 children and their families had a great time decorating picture frames at United Way's table.

Along with the fun-filled activity, United Way of Morris County was able to help raise awareness of community issues in Morris County while providing information on volunteer opportunities and valuable services and programs available to those who need help in our community.
