United Way of Morris County's Young Business Professionals Hosts Its First Event of 2008 in Morristown
Thursday, January 10, 2008
United Way of Morris County's Young Business Professionals group held its first event of the year on January 10, 2008, at stylish Pazzo Pazzo in Morristown. The speaking engagement and networking event was headlined by Erica Peitler, leadership coach/consultant, speaker, and soon-to be published author.
The night began with friendly socializing and networking amongst the group, which consisted of various professionals from pharmaceuticals, law, finance, life sciences, and more. The group lounged on colorful couches and chairs as Peitler outlined strategies for maximizing personal growth potential and encouraged each individual to be both curious and courageous as he or she forges a career path.
After sipping on drinks and nibbling on appetizers, the group capped off the night with more networking. Many left with new inspiration and energy to drive their career paths forward. "Our event at Pazzo Pazzo was a great mix of networking, socializing and personal growth for our emerging leaders in this community," said Doris Thomas, United Way of Morris County's manager of Young Business Professionals. "United Way is thrilled to be engaging this demographic of young professionals in Morris County. We look forward to future growth and engagement with this dynamic group."
Upon reflecting on the success of the night, Ms. Peitler remarked, "Cultivating a mentality where time and energy is mindfully put forth in networking and developing relationships, participating in community events and nurturing your own personal growth is important for young business professionals. It was great to see such a strong turnout for the United Way Young Business Professionals event where all of these elements came together."
Young Business Professionals hosts a series of events throughout the year focusing on leadership, teambuilding, and personal development. To get involved in this community, please email Doris Thomas, or phone 973.993.1160, x111.
