Women's Leadership Council
About Women's Leadership Council
When women leaders join together, our voices, vision, and leadership have phenomenal impact. Women's Leadership Council taps into the power, talent, and passion of women leaders to transform our communities.
Our Mission: To improve people's lives by mobilizing the caring power of women in our communities.
Women play a vital role in the success of our United Way. Women leaders who are passionate about making a difference in the community are welcome to join Women's Leadership Council.
United Way of Morris County's Women's Leadership Council is comprised of women who invest $1,000 or more annually to support our focus area: United Way's Youth Empowerment Initiative.
The Youth Empowerment Initiative helps middle school students develop problem solving skills, leadership skills, and better communication skills through a variety of projects:
- Professionally led focus groups with youth to understand the issues that they are facing.
- Interactive exercises that arm students with the knowledge of community services available to them when they need help.
- Youth Summit Day, which empowers students with the ability to make change in their own schools.
The Youth Empowerment Initiative helps middle school kids develop to their fullest potential.
