Community Priorities Council
About the Community Priorities Council
United Way of Morris County hosted its second Community Priorities Council in May 2004. The first CPC was convened in 2001. It established five areas of interest for United Way of Morris County and some high level goals for each area. This has guided United Way of Morris County's decision making for the last three years, both in funding programs and in identifying opportunities to create lasting changes in community conditions.
The new Communities Priorities Council, chaired by Finn Wentworth, Managing Partner of Normandy Real Estate, included corporate, government, and a broad range of human service representatives. This council brought together leaders in Morris County for the purpose of presenting United Way of Morris County's strategy for solving critical community issues. The council took a close look at our interpretation of the community needs, our process for addressing those needs, the priority of the issues we have identified, and opportunities for fine-tuning our plans.
