Action Teams
About Our Action Teams
United Way of Morris County works toward its vision, in part, through the work of our Action Teams, which are comprised of a broad base of volunteers from local nonprofit agencies, government, business, United Way staff, and the community-at-large.
Our Action Teams engage volunteers and provide more opportunity for all people of Morris County to get close to the issues that affect them and partake in meaningful work. Members meet about once a month, and undergo extensive training to develop expertise on problems and resources that fall within their priority area.
Action Teams involve the Morris County community to support Our Work. Action Teams members:
- Review community needs and services available.
- Invest in local health and human service programs that address community needs and make measurable impact on the community.
- Initiate collaborations with community partners to affect change.
- Measure our progress every step of the way.
