Shelter and counseling for families in church facilities.

United-Way-funded program:

Emergency Shelter
Responds to the unique needs of families faced with the crisis of homelessness by mobilizing community resources, utilizing congregations of faith for overnight lodging, and volunteers to staff the shelter sites nights and weekends. Families receive comprehensive assistance in finding housing, jobs, job training, childcare, health and educational services, as well as life skills training.

Permanent Supportive Housing Program
The Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) works with homeless children and their families and with single women. The program was designed and implemented in direct response to their Emergency Shelter program. PSH provides previously homeless families with the support needed to make the transition from homelessness to permanent housing. The goal is to ensure families housing stability by assisting them with “anything and everything” they may need to remain permanently housed and to stop the cycle of homelessness that many families face.
