Head Start
Provides a free, comprehensive child development program to Morris County children, ages 2 1⁄2 - 5, whose families have incomes below the federal poverty line. Necessary skills are taught that will lead to successful school experiences for children and offers their families support services that lead to self-sufficiency.

A private, non-profit organization with over 25 years of experience in meeting the needs of our community’s homeless and working poor. Our mission is to offer shelter, supportive services, and affordable housing to homeless and low-income people. Housing Solutions provides outreach services, emergency shelter, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing to families and individuals from the Morris County area. In 2008, we provided shelter for nearly 700 people, one-third of whom are children.

Family and Single Women’s Shelter, Men’s Shelter
Provides a secure, stable environment for adults and children as they focus on achieving self-sufficiency. Case management services include: links to public benefits, referrals to job search and employment training, childcare subsidies and placement, transportation assistance, connections to counseling and legal services, money management and life skills training and affordable housing location. |

Outpatient program for drug and alcohol abuse; individual, family, and marital counseling, including people with AIDS (case management, counseling, transportation, group support); parenting education program; prevention programs in the community; Fix-it and Chore programs for senior citizens; Hope Connection emergency response system; home sharing program.

Strengthening Families
Focuses on primary prevention. The program is designed to prevent child abuse and neglect, to strengthen families, to improve parents' abilities to nurture and provide appropriate learning opportunities for their children through counseling, parent education and intervention services. Program is offered in English and Spanish.
General Counseling
Counseling and therapeutic services are available to individuals, couples and families who are experiencing family crises as a result of mental illness, domestic violence, emotional, physical and/or sexual abuse, depression and anxiety.
Chore
Assistance is provided with light housekeeping, laundry, shopping and assessment services. Objective is to help the low-income, frail seniors, and persons with disabilities to remain independent and able to retain their lifestyle.
AIDS Center
The program provides centralized and comprehensive services to people living with HIV and to their families. Services include case management, mental health and substance abuse counseling, transportation, food pantry, buddy/companionship programs, and other social services. Services are bilingual.
Hope Connections
Provides, installs, and monitors personal emergency response systems to low income and poverty level seniors, as well as disabled adults who reside alone and have been identified as at-risk. |

Agency provides educational programs and counseling to help people move from rental to home ownership, including home buyer education, one on one credit and budget counseling, matched savings clubs and financial fitness programs. Down payment assistance is available for income eligible households.

Facilitator Program
Provides resources for organizations and municipalities to plan for and meet their affordable housing needs. Facilitates partnerships among public and non-profit sectors, particularly non-profit organizations along with lenders, funding sources and private and non-profit developers and assists municipalities in developing their housing elements and fair share housing plans as required by the Council on Affordable Housing.
Home Ownership Program
Assists home seekers in a comprehensive way as they move up the continuum of housing. Provides guidance, information and resources to help meet individual client needs. Offers guidance in budgeting, saving for security deposits, and educational and counseling resources for home seekers who are ready to begin planning for a homeownership. |
