Donating stock is a simple process that takes only a few minutes.  
In just a few easy steps you can invest in what matters:

Step 1
Authorize your broker or financial consultant to transfer the stock as a contribution to United Way.  Download pdf of stock transfer form

Your letter should include the following details:

  • Stock name or symbol
  • Number of shares
  • Your mailing address
  • Your work and home phone numbers
  • Your email address

Also include the following transfer information:

  • Broker: Bank of America
  • Account Name: United Way of Morris County
  • Account#: J363-79840          
  • Federal Tax ID#: 22-1487247
  • DTC#: 0226

Step 2
Inform United Way of the transfer.  For your tax deduction and our acknowledgment purposes, please provide United Way with the above information.  Select any one of the options below to submit your information:

  1. Fill out our Online Stock Donation Form
  2. Email the information to Connie Read
  3. Fax the information to 973.993.5807
  4. Mail the information to:

    Morristown, NJ 07962-1948
After the stock is received, we will send you an acknowledgment letter as confirmation of your gift.  The letter can also be used for IRS purposes.
