"I don't know what it is about me, maybe my white hair -- that I've had since my 20s – but kids trust me; they confide in me and come to me with life's challenging questions.
I think it's because I have made it a point of caring about their problems and being there for them on a regular basis by showing up. For most of the past 40 years I have volunteered between 200 and 800 hours a year as a teacher, mentor, coach, and advisor to kids from middle school through college. I do it because more than anything kids need good, dependable caring adults in their lives. That's how I LIVE UNITED." |

"I love to garden – it's great to get your hands dirty to create beauty and yummy treats. More importantly, I love sharing my produce with friends and family.
That's how I LIVE UNITED."

"Each year I GIVE to United Way of Morris County through our annual employee campaign. I VOLUNTEER annually on June 21st, our national Day of Action, to help senior citizens with yard work and chores, and I ADVOCATE for all the good work that we do at United Way of Morris County by spreading the word with my friends, neighbors, and family. That is how I LIVE UNITED."
