Who is helped by United Way?
United Way programs, partnerships, and collaborations serve to help the entire community. Many community impact programs serve clients from diverse economic, and social backgrounds – focused on creating stronger and healthier communities for everyone. A great example of this is 2-1-1, which is available to anyone in the community who needs help, regardless of economic status.
How does United Way respond to disaster?
United Way is not a front line disaster relief agency. We’re not the first ones in the door, but we’re the last to leave. Working together, whether coordinating volunteers, raising funds, or just being the support team during a crisis, is what we do best. United Way handles — and helps to prevent — everyday crises in all of our communities on a regular basis.
