How much of my contribution goes to people who really need help?
We take the business of investing and managing your gift very seriously. Our focus is on what we deliver to the community – the bottom-line results: the lives we change and the communities we shape. A key to our community impact success has to do with dollars and our ability to make them grow. We aggressively seek to leverage each dollar we raise to make the most of every contribution.
For every $1.00 we raise, we deliver $1.92 in Community Impact.
We are able to increase the value of each investment through:
- Corporate, foundation, and government match programs.
- Corporate, foundation, and government grants.
- Corporate donated equipment.
- Collaborations with other non-profits.
Our efforts bring millions of dollars in state and federal funding into Morris County. The power of each dollar is magnified. This proven ability to leverage dollars is what makes United Way unique, and what makes United Way of Morris County a great investment.

Does United Way of Morris County get money from United Way of America?
No. United Way of America is the national service and training center which supports local United Ways with a national advertising and promotion program, a partnership with the National Football League, training for United Way professionals and volunteers, and a national network allowing United Ways to share best practices and other information. Local United Ways pay for these services through annual dues. United Way of America does not raise or distribute funds.
