Diversity Intentions
United Way of Morris County adheres to the following non-discrimination policy in all aspects of its work: "United Way of Morris County is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, age, religion, gender, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, national origin, ethnicity, atypical heredity cellular or blood trait, refusal to provide genetic information or submit to genetic testing, veterans status, or any other status protected by local, state, or federal law."
Diversity: A Statement of Principle
United Way of Morris County's vision is to be the national model for championing diversity, welcoming and serving everyone.
Diversity is valuing individuals without regard to race, religion, color, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, physical challenge and age.
We need diversity because our work has taught us its value. Every day we experience the dramatic changes occurring in our country: changing demographics, changing workplace attitudes, and changing needs in our communities.
Our ability to embrace diversity and to make it an integral part of our business will enable us to serve our members and their communities more effectively. It will also help us attract new volunteers, new employees and new givers.
Our goal is to have our Board of Directors, management, staff, and volunteers genuinely demonstrate the principles of diversity, which enrich our country and its communities. |
